Dr. Sean Allen

Executive Director

Dr. Sean Allen serves as Executive Director of the HBCU National Speech and Debate League and Director of Forensics at Tennessee State University. A decade-long educator, coach and program builder, he has guided Tennessee State to four HBCU national championships and the 2025 NFA Division II national championship. His leadership centers on expanding access, strengthening HBCU programs, creating national competition pathways and connecting student voice to graduate study, public leadership and professional opportunity. His scholarship explores battle rap as a space for identity, belonging and mediated conflict resolution.
